Behind every product that changes the way people do something, there's usually a person who got frustrated enough to fix it. Frank Witowski is that person.
Frank, the founder behind Goover and Hybrid Bikes Ltd, has been selected as the cover feature of The Enterprise World's 2026 Global Business Innovation Excellence Award — a global business publication that recognises entrepreneurs making a genuine difference in their industries.

Frank's story starts in Germany, where he trained as an engineer, and continues in Nelson, New Zealand — where he built one of the country's most recognised e-bike brands from scratch. Hybrid Bikes grew into New Zealand's number one carbon fibre e-bike company, was listed in the Deloitte Fast 50, and attracted national television coverage along the way.
But Frank's attention kept returning to one stubborn problem: even the best e-bike is only as enjoyable as the journey to the trailhead — and that journey still involved wrestling a heavy bike onto a rack by yourself. After 14 months of prototyping and testing, Goover became his answer to that problem. A ground-loading, tow ball-mounted transport system built around a simple idea: load it where it sits, roll it to the car, click it in. No lifting required.
The Enterprise World feature covers Frank's full journey — from his early days in renewable energy and solar technology, through his cancer diagnosis and recovery, to the vision driving Goover's expansion into Australia, the US, and beyond. It's a proper read.
